What is the advantage of a web-hosted application over a desktop
application?
FUNDRIVER Online makes it easier to share information and
you do not have to install anything on your computer. FUNDRIVER puts
you in control over how, where and by whom the system is accessed.
Because there are no servers or desktop applications to install,
FUNDRIVER is easy to implement and does not require any resources
from your IT department. FUNDRIVER handles the key system maintenance
tasks for you. Our technology makes it easy to share information since
you can
give access to anyone by creating an account, assigning an access
level, and giving them the web address.

Is FUNDRIVER secure?
A key part of our security strategy is regular review by a third
party. This helps to ensure all parts of the organization are performing
the required functions to keep information secure. Our security strategy
includes segregating clients into separate databases, physical security,
encryption, and regular monitoring of activity on the site. Most importantly,
FUNDRIVER provides a far more secure environment for endowment data than
spreadsheets.

What are the optional modules?
Manager of manager portfolio administration –This
module administers and reports on multi-manager portfolios. FUNDRIVER
calculates time-weighted
returns on managers, investment pools and sub-composites, and prepares
information for the NACUBO study.
Custom general ledger import and exports – FUNDRIVER supports
custom interfaces to general ledger and development systems.
Department-level access – Allow access to specific funds or groups
of funds to people in other departments without giving them access
to the entire system. This feature can be integrated with your security
scheme.

What are other features and uses of FUNDRIVER?
An important aspect of FUNDRIVER is that it establishes a regular,
repeatable process that saves time and results in fewer mistakes when preparing
endowment information. You will spend less time gathering information in
order to respond to specific requests about your endowment fund. FUNDRIVER
reports have been designed based on feedback from auditors to help make
audits proceed more smoothly.
FUNDRIVER also automates the application of spending policies and
the calculation of estimated income for the budget process. It can also
prepare stewardship reports and can track book value, balances by restriction
(restricted, temporarily restricted, and unrestricted assets), and non-pooled
assets.
